Salkantay Short Trek to Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights

Salkantay snow capped is located close to Machu Picchu inca site and makes trekking around it as alternative option to the classic  Inca Trail; this is known as the Salkantay trek.

Salkantay (in Quechua language) menas wild, savage or invincible  is the highest peak of the Vilcabamba mountain range, part of the Peruvian Andes. It is located in the Cusco Region, about 60 km (40 miles) west-northwest far away from Cusco city. It is the 38th highest peak in the Andes, and the twelfth highest in Peru. However, as a range highpoint in deeply incised terrain, it is the second most topographically prominent peak in the country, after Huascarán, was recorded as early as 1583.The name is thus often translated as “Savage Mountain”.

Our standard package includes the premium services of lodging in a very nice hotel on the third night of the trek, a very unique coffee plantation tour in the afternoon of day 2, and dinner in a very good tourist restaurant in Aguas calientes, Your ticket to climb Huayna Picchu mountain after your Machu Picchu tour is also included.
